What makes a square classy?
We all know how easy it is to make a street or ghetto looking Square body C10, but I get tired of the same old huge rims and crappy flat paint jobs. For the 3rd gen C10 it may be taboo, but I've just always preferred a classic looking vehicle. So for my build, I'm going for clean and classy. My question to you guys is: what makes the C10 look classy? I like keeping the stock trim. Two tones are usually a little too "grandpa car" for me. Of course some rally wheels and chevy center caps. Anything specific you always love to see on a C10?
And yes, I understand these things can only get so "classy". Posted via Mobile Device

Re: What makes a square classy?
Suede headliner. Leather wrapped dash pad and a wood steering wheel and good tunes. A nice drop with wheels and paint with a good engine with a sound if attitude and you aren't classy you are class lol

Re: What makes a square classy?
Pseudo-classy maybe but the trucks are old and very low on the totem pole for vehicles that should be returned to stock. besides why spend the money to look like it did 20+ years ago? conceptualize!

Re: What makes a square classy?
I prefer a stock look, stock height, stock wheels, and prefer a 79 or older. Frankly I avoid vehicles that have been tinkered with in any way.
I've always felt they looked fine as is. If they were not appealing enough to the point that I felt I needed to change the appearance, then I probably wouldn't have bought the truck in the first place and went looking a different direction |

Re: What makes a square classy?
IMO a stock or close to stock paint scheme & trim with a static drop and some wheels that "fit the truck" looks pretty good or "classy" or less ghetto LOL.... You see less and less of these trucks that still look close to original than ones that people have trashed out with bad body mods these days... I thought about completly changing mine at first but have decided to keep it close to original because thats why I like these trucks, the way they look stock with something mildly modified to make it yours! It's all just opinion though, some guys think they look classy chopped up & painted a wild color with huge wheels...not me.

Re: What makes a square classy?
On a 2WD truck, I like them stock height or lowered just a little...3-4". However, 4WDs are meant to be lifted.

Re: What makes a square classy?
So how about colors? You guys like two tone, or metallic, etc? How about interior color scheme. For me, black carpets with different shading of dark and light grey is very clean. Blue is pretty classy too, with one of those stock-looking LMC vynil seat covers.

Re: What makes a square classy?
I normally wouldn't answer a thread like this because these questions are SO subjective (...beauty in the eye of the beholder, and all that). You'll get as many opinions as you have responses.
But - it looks like you may be new around here so I'll post my stuff, both by way of introduction and also to generate some thought starters. Here goes: "Classy" by definition means somewhat subdued. To me that translates into "stock-ish": stock wheels, small mirrors, slight static drop, 1/2ton, shortbox. I have always been a single color kind of guy (black or red) but some people prefer two tones. I think it's classy when vintage iron is daily driven. K

Re: What makes a square classy?
so it sounds like stockish in appearance, dropped a little (maybe one coil, drop shackles and remove a 1 or 2 short leafs), ralley wheels and no step bumpers. i say frick it, do what you want. if other dont like it. too bad, its not their truck

Keith Seymore: where did you get that spare tire rig? That's very classy indeed. On second thought, I bet I could bolt something together easy...
