Replace lug bolts?
I want to replace some wheel bolts / lug bolts on my rear axle. I thought there was a tool specific for this. Everthing i'm researching shows BFH and smack it out. Is there a better way?

Re: Replace lug bolts?
If your replacing them then yea big hammer works. There no good right so why not. Then put the new one in and tap it in good then turn it over and use a old lug nut to pull it all the way through.
You can use the BH to for installing them for the most part but I always use the old lug nut to make sure it's all the way up.

Re: Replace lug bolts?
I also use a lug nut but I use a greased flat washer under it.

Ok, bearing a seals are in and the diff's buttoned up. couple bolts are cross threaded and didn't relialize until after. Dont realy want to pull axle. I'll try the BH.

Re: Replace lug bolts?
10 ton hydraulic press works well, too if you use a piece of thick wall DOM tubing for a mandrel
