58-59 fleetside bed vs

a 60 fleetside bed. What are the differences? I have never seen either up close but it looks like the body line is crisper on the 60. Are they any where near the same size? Its just that 58-59 short fleets are soooo rare.

The front panel and the tailgate are the same thats about all I know. The bedsides are obviously different. Never seen one on a Task force truck but you might talk with the guys in the photochop section maybe they can come up with something if you have two good side shot pics of each.

side spears on the TF. from the seam down they are the same. Tailgates are interchangeable, but later models are a little different.

Here is a TF and 61. You can see the profiles are different so the body lines will not line up. I do not know if 60-66 are exactly the same, the guys on that board could tell you.

Re: 58-59 fleetside bed vs

Thanks OrrieG, From what I can tell the 60-66 beds have a higher more pronounced body line where as the 58-59 has a lower, smoother body line on the bed.

I guess I will just keep an eye out for a 58-59 fleet bed just like everyone else.
