One tons are hard to find.
I have started the hunt for a one ton dually and they are kind of hard to find in good shape. Most of them have lived a pretty hard life. I just missed a good one from another board member. I would really like to have one with air.
About 10 years ago my grandpa had three or four of them just sitting around incase one of his broke down. He would just pull another one out and start driving it. He had numerous front clips, cabs, frames, rearends, etc. Now that is all gone. Most of what I see now is rusted out pretty bad and beat up. Most are pretty basic optioned trucks. Seems like I see alot of half and three quarter tons than anything else. |

Re: One tons are hard to find.
Some of the cleanest/low mileage one ton dual rear wheel 67-72 trucks available or those originally used as special-purpose vehicles, like motor homes, small fire trucks, etc.

Re: One tons are hard to find.
I don't want to get into any trouble with the mods here since I am not a paying member YET. So if you are going to put something up that is for sale or something then just send me a PM. Although I appreciate that and I am looking, I just started this thread saying how the duallies are a hard one to find anymore.
Thanks |

Re: One tons are hard to find.
Yeah I know what you mean. I have found a few but they are either in pretty bad shape for the money or they are not the short wheelbase that I want.
I have been trying to keep my search within about 200 miles. That way I can take a day and go look at it and possibly one if need be. Trying to stay away from having to have one shipped to me. |

Re: One tons are hard to find.
I kind of lucked out with this one. 3/4 ton 4X4 with a duallie rear. So I don't know what that makes it officially other than a conversion. It does have factory air though.
