How do I ground my dash

My dash bulbs are buring out / working intermittently - Is there a way to make sure everthing is grounded properly?

There should be a ground strap coming off the motor to the face of the cowl in the engine compartment on the passenger side just inside the oval indentation.

Re: How do I ground my dash

I simply ran a 14ga wire from the column/pedal/e-brake mount right under the inst panel to a screw on the back of the panel itself.

Re: How do I ground my dash

I ran a 12 gauge wire from the engine block bolt where the negative battery cable attaches to a bolt on the left side of the pedal support. All instrument and dash grounds connect to this bolt either directly or throught a common ground harness.

The front lighting is grounded by a second battery cable running from the engine block to the passenger side of the radiator support. All headlight grounds (and fog lights when I had them) connect to the cable ground bolt. These simple additions eliminate electrical grounding issues.

Re: How do I ground my dash

Grounded mine via the column supports under the dash.
Sanded around an existing hole, used spades and 12ga wire, with star washers to get good ground contact. Everything works fine.
