Re: Any input on this 67' C10 I'm going to look in to?

Excellent info! I'm soaking it up!

Just from the time I've spent looking through all the picture threads on this forum, I've definitely taken a liking to the slant nose C10 years. 67 and 68? I love the side trim on those years too.... How it is low on the body and follows the wheel wells.

Yes. That's another difference. The 67/68 had a slant nose hood with chevrolet across the hood. The rest had a bull nose hood. 69/70 had the emblem on the front lip of the hood, with chevrolet across the grille like mine below (I've since replaced my emblem with a factory one that has the blue backing piece). The 71/72 has the chevy logo on the grill

Agree with the coolness factor on the '67's. Unique in many ways. Of course, im biased...

Well, gentleman. I just got a call from the owner, he sold it today.

Which, I don't blame him. I blame my 8-5 from letting me go look at it sooner. It's friggin' DARK by the time I get off work so I had to schedule the meeting for the weekend.

SO FRUSTRATING.

Well, that stinks. Sorry to hear that. Sometimes "over researching" things, as you said, can help, and other times it can let the next guy have more time to swoop in and snatch what likely was a very nice truck

Don't worry about it. You'll find one. Now, don't make the same mistake with this "lady friend", if she's a keeper lol

Lol! I use the term lady friend loosely. She's actually my son's mother and high school sweetheart. I'm only 27 but still, we've been at it a long time

Re: Any input on this 67' C10 I'm going to look in to?

That's a bummer but I know from my experience that there are a lot of 67-72 Chevy trucks were you live. My lady friend lives near Eugene and I see those trucks all over. Better than Michigan where the salt in the winter takes them out early. If it adds any comfort, I bought a 64 from Creswell and it is a very solid rust free truck. Just remember no matter where they are from, all of them are prone to some rust problems somewhere. Steer away from trucks that a from the coast side of the state. The ocean brings salt mist that usually rots from the top down.

Just my two cents. Good luck with your search.

That is true. There are probably a lot of them around here. There's a pretty big classic auto following in this area.

My go-to mechanic is in Creswell. And I go to a classic auto gathering in the summertime once a month called Creswell Cars and Coffee. Small world.

Thank you for your input.
