mirror options other then stock?

hey there
my CUCV came with one shot folding factory style mirror and now i have to buy fresh. i just wanted to see what other people may have done instead of stock. my needs are more towing related so im not interested in sport mirrors or anything small.

I cannot stand any of the towing mirrors that came factory between 67-87,

ive searched an found lots of sport mirror threads but no luck for my needs.

i really like the newer chevy towing mirrors like in the attached photo.. anyone running something alike?

post pics pls.

Lee

Without replacing your vent window with steel or aluminum, I dont see how you could install that style mirror. From what Ive seen, most just use the dumbo ear stock mirrors. They work good enough for towing.

Pearsonally I'd go with the "west coast" mirror they flow with these trucks alot better then any new mirror on the market.

Eric28miller is using them in his crew can build. I like his idea and I am considering it for my rig as well. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...1&postcount=68

West coast mirrors are a real good fit if the inside of the door is reinforced to take the stress off the outer skin.

Power dumbo mirrors from mid 90's Dodge Ram light truck and maybe Ram van would flow better.
