'68 GMC Longbed Parts truck and/or parts for sale

I've taken what I need off this 1968 GMC C10 Longbed. The truck is basically a complete truck, and I will sell it all together for $500.00 If you will come and haul it off. It comes with a (I believe) 327 2bbl - 4-speed (granny top loader).

I will sell the motor and or trans by themselves for $300.00 for both, or $200 for motor, and $100 for trans. Previous owner says it's a good running drivetrain, I never tried it. I'll load it for you.

Likewise I'll consider selling components, but the body and rolling chassis stay together.

Good Chrome front bumper:$75
Painted grill (minor damage) $50
Spare door shells (minor damage, very little rust) $50 ea.
4-speed x-member $25
Driveline 2pc $40
Bench seat $30 (needs help)
Glove box door $20
Misc. small parts, send requests.

The truck has a straight body with small rust holes in doors, pass fender, and pass cab corner. Cab needs rockers, and edges of low hump floor. Doors have speaker holes, dash has been cut for stereo. Bed sides look good. Though I haven't seen the bed floor (bedliner)it's reported to have some small rust through. Hood looks straight with no rust. Frame has leafs, and six lug axles/spindles. Manual brakes and steering. All glass is good but the windshied. 4-speed steering column is for parts only.

I will not ship, Pick up only.
It's in the Seattle area

Send PM and I'll text or email pics of what ever you need to see.

I'll run this here first, then in a week or so it goes to CL.

Thanks for looking.

If you decide to part it - What kind of shape is the driver fender in and what would you want for it?

Re: '68 Parts truck and/or parts for sale

I can't really part it because my boss will have a fit having a partial truck in his lot. It's barely tolerated now. The fender is in good shape as far as I can see.
I bought this truck for it's drive train, so I don't know what the previous owner did with any damage it may have had. If you were willing to put your old fender on it I'd give it to you for $50. I would offer the same conditions with the bed, rear end or hood as well. The grill and bumper are out of sight so no prob.
Thanks for asking.

Re: '68 Parts truck and/or parts for sale

I'm getting alot of interest in this truck. Just want to give you all fair warning if you want it you need to let me know soon. I expect it to be gone as early as Sunday. I would prefer to give a member first shot. I'm not trying to get rich on this truck, so I'm not asking much. I know it's not a gold mine either, but I think it's well worth $500. I already have a standing offer for $300, and I doubt I'll be responding to this offer. As it is I have one person offering that for the motor alone. I have 5 other guys that have expressed interest in it and will sell it to one of them unless a member speaks up first.

It's too bad nobody wants it in the forums. I've gotten five offers so far on CL but not from here, I don't expect it to be mine much longer.

Re: '68 Parts truck and/or parts for sale

Well, it looks like I'll be calling the scrap guy to haul the old GMC off. It's a shame, but nobody else seem interested. I've got a standing offer of $300, so If anyone wants to match it, and haul it off I'll do it. It has to leave soon though so let me know. Here's my cell 206-661-8491 Thanks, Curtis.

This was posted 12/4/12, If no response by 12/7 It'll be gone and you can disregard this add. I find I can't delete it so the add will be here for a while.

Re: '68 Parts truck and/or parts for sale

too bad you couldn't cut your boss in on the deal and part it out. even giving him 50% you would come out way, way, WAY, better than $300!

Unhappy Re: '68 Parts truck and/or parts for sale

It's gone. It's too bad to, it is certainly a waste. I'm pretty sure it will be parted out by this guy though. It was definately worth more, but I couldn't abuse my bosses tolerance in letting me have it there. I expect I'll be getting another before too long as it's the cheapest way to upgrade. I'm keeping an eye out for a 70-72 so I can get higher gears, power steering and power brakes. If I'm lucky I can get tilt wheel, drop spindles, a decent bench seat and some good enough for now wheels. I've seen a couple of later 70's trucks with blown motors that have most of that, but haven't had the money or time to grab them. I'm on the road at least, and I can wait for the right deal now.
