Re: WTB Step side fenders

If you are using them for "dually add-on fenders" on a fleetside bed,... you are probably in luck.
Most of the rust I see,... is in the metal lip that attaches them to the stepside's flat bedsides.
You will be trimming alot of this off to match the contour of your fleetside bed.

I gave $400 for my set.
(and they have rust on the lip)
I went to look at them because I thought they were original paint fenders.
But they were original white fenders, with one white re-paint.
I still bought them, because they are hard to find.

Member hot trux put repop fenders on his '68 stepside.
He said they were VERY nice.

I actually considered repops but since I will be cutting them I thought that would be a waist. I am hoping to come in to a set for around 3 or 4 hundred dollars. That set you have look nice!

Re: WTB Step side fenders

I may be able to help you out, Rusbuilt.

Mine are straight and dent free. As well, they already have the sidemarker lights and the struts on them. There is only one real area at the bottom of one that would need some repair. They might not be as nice as you are looking for, but workable units for sure.

They are in my garage rafters, give me a day or so to dig them out and take a couple shots and see if you might be interested in them.

Re: WTB Step side fenders

Okay, here are some shots. There is almost no rust on flanges on either one, some rust in two small areas on the lip on the passenger side, and an area of the driver side that needs attention at the inner bottom of wheel opening. The side markers are in very good condition. The struts are all there and in great condition.

Only real rust on flange, driver side

Rust on lip, passenger side

Rust on lip, passenger side

Damage, driver side rear inner portion of wheel well area

Interior shot, struts

Side shots

Sorry for the large pics, just trying to show the damage as best as I could.
