This may be a dumb question here it goes...I just had a custom gas tank made and I DO NOT have a fuel pump on my small block...How do I know of I need a 3line or 2line? Thanks

Re: 3-line or 2-line fuel pump...

I assume you are referring to the mechanical pump, I believe that the third line was a return line to the tank on some models. I am not 100% sure of that, I would order the pump for the 72' and see what you get... I am betting it is just an inlet and outlet. Others will chime in hopefully.

Re: 3-line or 2-line fuel pump...

Well that figures lol Ok well I guess Im no help to you.
My 72' had all the emissions system (charcoal canister) already unhooked and had been changed from I6 to SBC, so I never had to deal with this. Does on line possibly go to the charcoal canister to pull fumes?? Hopefully a guru will have the answer for you. Sorry I was of no help.

Re: 3-line or 2-line fuel pump...

Is it necessary to have a return line?
