Looks nice! I have the same ammo can, I keep my junk yard tools in it. Never thought of putting a PCM in it, cool idea though.

Re: 68 c10 5.3 4l60

I bought the truck about a year ago all original. Drove it home install a drop and disc brakes and the wheels and drove it daily with the 250 3 speed until about 2 months ago when i ran across a deal on the 5.3. I did the door logos myself with some homemade stencils . Soon as i get my tuning situation figured out it will be my dd again.

Re: 68 c10 5.3 4l60

Can we get more info on the wheel/tire setup, and what drop?

That thing looks great. I even like the smoothed stock VC's. I was gonna do that on mine, but ended up getting different ones instead. Also, where did you mount the coil packs?

Re: 68 c10 5.3 4l60

What motor mounts are you running and what kind of headers are those? Also, did you move the engine forward or back? I'm wanting to do the ls swap in my 72 but am confused on what position to put the motor in.

Re: 68 c10 5.3 4l60

I am using my 6 cyl mounts and stands. I made my own adapter plates with some 1/4" steel bolted them to my block droped it in and traced my mounts holes onto the plate when it whas where i wanted it to sit pulled it back out drilled and tapped holes for my mounts to bolt to the plates. My prob sits a little further forward than most because my coilpacks are on the rear of my heads and i needed room for them and my throttle pedal rod.headers are dynatech 2nd gen camaro .

Did you have to notch the factory cross memeber for the truck pan to work?

Re: 68 c10 5.3 4l60

Car intake was easy. I have a truck water pump, the upper fitting is a press fit so i put some heat on it with a torch and turned the neck a little to clear the throttle body linkage. I have a f-body alt setup and now i have f-body power steering pump with some spacers i got at ace to make them inline with the truck belt line.
