In the 50's and 60's GMC has many unique features till the product line aligned itself more with Chevy. Even though its water under the bridge now, the 3.54 ratio for 1/2 tons was a nice feature. Pretty cool and interesting. Am I correct in thinking the 12 bolt Chevys are stronger than the Dana 44 10 bolt? I thought I had something here when I saw Dana 44. In the Corvette world the Dana 44 is considered near bullet proof compared to the the Dana 36.
