Tank relocation Question

I am seriously thinking of going w/ a Boyd tank. I thought about it but didn't have it in the budget when I put the A/C in. Now that the windows are up and the smell of gas is irritating me. The sting of purchasing the A/C is fading and a tank relocation might be on the horizon; but I have a question -

For those have done this and wanted to maintain the stock tank look or didn't want to have to deal with the body work of filling the tank neck hole - is there a way to fabricate a dummy neck and still gain the space behind the seat? TIA

Re: Tank relocation Question

You could cut the neck of of a stock tank fab a bracket on the inside to hold it. Put the cap on and nobody would ever know. Shouldn't be that hard to do.

Re: Tank relocation Question

Unless you you ave a leaky tank you can solve the gas smell for a few bucks and about an 30 minutes. Just replace the rubber hose connecting the lines.

Re: Tank relocation Question

That antenna set-up is very slick! I'm stashing a stereo in the glove box, and I considered some sort of hidden antenna, but this is even better, as a tank removal is in the cards, too. Sure am glad I took a look!

Re: Tank relocation Question

When I did the tank relocation on my stepside I just cut the neck off and put a nice cap on. I pushed it down to where the cap was down on the grommet. Looked nice I thought.
