I have a gremlin

So side marker light wont light up. put a new bulb in it and nothing. tested to see if I was getting power, powers fine took a bulb out of one of the others and put it in the dead one and nothing. So I need some words of wisdom because I am stumped

Do you have a rusted rocker panel on that side? I think the wires travel right under the rocker panel. Could be that the jagged rust has cut a wire.

Another thought, could be that the market light itself has issues. Maybe corrosion or something. Try installing the one from the other side to see if that works

If you have power but it doesn't work, check your ground connection. My right front marker does that, and its a cruddy ground.

Ground would be the place to start if you have power and a know good bulb. What year is your truck and is it a front or rear?

I agree man......check the ground wire from behind marker....if it looks ok there........try grounding it to the fender by hand just to double check it. you can always splice into a ground wire with no issues.

check all your bulbs really well, front back, side to side, GM does some daisy chain wiring that can act funny.

had my left front turn signal go funky on my 86 bird, was to a point I just wired around it to make it work. ended up being one of the many marker lights in the tail goofing it up. making it act like a bad ground as it had power.

Re: I have a gremlin

Mine did this on both marker lights on the passenger side. Turned out the socket was so loose the bulb wasn't making contact. Test light showed fine, but bulb wouldn't light. I spliced in 2 new sockets (they have them at any parts store) and it works fine now.
