Re: Big Red Dog

Well, yesterday started off with the end of this epic of procrastination. Mow the yard. Dodging the rain only left me with 1' high weeds, hiding a chunk of frame. Not good for the almost new mower. So this morning, I pulled it apart and welded up the break and tried to finish the mowing. Felt like a Zamboni (or whatever they are called) with nooo traction on wet grass. After a few hours FedEx came by with a package that needed signed, notarized and re-FedExed today. I should have noticed the hesitation in the voice of the new FedEx driver when I asked her where the nearest drop was, but I didn't. Drove for 2 hours around Doniphan county to determine what I suspected. I will have to drive 36 miles to St. Joseph to a FedEx drop. The address FedEx is going to deliver the package to is in St. Joseph.

I have a large enough family that I'll be buying pre-07 Cummins dodges until I die.

Procrastination/frustration it's about the same.

Dave.

I guess that explains the white over white on the cab top.

Yea thinking about peeling it all off... Grinding is gonna suck but better than rust repair.

Re: Big Red Dog

Inside rear window sill-headliner? Seam separation? Or maybe rust and that is a fab'ed patch that's already in and being welded?

Let's see what Troy says.

This is right under the clearance marker lights in the front. Compound curve.

Re: Big Red Dog

I woke up this morning and was in a pretty good mood, as mornings go for night shift people. Thought I'd check in on the Big Red Dog and now,

I'm seeing Red!

Way to go Troy, one step closer.

Thanks Alan! We got lucky here, last night we had some serious wind an sheet rain but no damage. Now Wichita, Topeka and others dust fair so well... Dave (owner) might have some damage where he is! Looks like these storms were heading north east... Tis the season. On the build, sanding over head SUCKS!!! My shoulders hurt and that spray able filler primer is no joke...

I was scuffing Greg's inside roof panel with a red pad and said too myself this will suck to sand. I forgot since my truck. I might lay it on it's back so I can stand up and do it. I wish that would work.

Re: Big Red Dog

I thought about building a square base and back and rocker type tubes to connect the two so I could roll it to its back and stand in te rear window area and sand but I don't work on these enough to justify doing so.
