Looking For A Turnkey Crate - Anybody Use These Guys?
So I'm looking for a turnkey crate motor and these guys have caught my eye, has anyone used or heard of them? They are based out of Phoenix and claim to have been in business for 42 years. I'm looking for a SB and the budget is in the $3k range and they do have a few option to choose from. I also like their Fast Track option which truly makes it plug and play.
Any thoughts and/or comments? |

Re: Looking For A Turnkey Crate - Anybody Use These Guys?
I checked them out and all seems good, however, I would think you would have a machine shop near you as well that would beat their prices. I have one here in Iowa that will do all the same for $3k. Add another $500 for vortec instead. I didnt see what their so call FAST TRACK option cost nor do they specify shipping. If you start to look at what shipping cost, I would guarantee you can go to your local Chevy dealer and get a complete crate ready to run.

Thanks! One other thought I have is to have my SBC rebuilt to have a little more beef. The Fast Track is $695, add $149 if you want 2 oil changes during break in. Yeah sounds like a lot for oil changes but considering I pay more than that for 1 in my Porsche, I guess it's not bad
