Blower motor question.

Ok i think I've read some were about some one using a new blower motor from a new truck/car. So my question is which truck/car blow motor did you use and what mods did it take to put it in?

No for what I've got. My 64 GMC has the deluxe heater with the "bread box" under the hood. I'm just kind of tired of the noisy cage. The blower motor is about a year and ahalf old. So can i use it with a newer plastic cage? Or is it just better to replace it with all new out of newer truck/car.

Thanks in advance and I'm sorry if its been talked about before.

Re: Blower motor question.

I believe the blower motors are the same until `72, go to auto zone with your blower motor, they sell them as well and compare....

Re: Blower motor question.

Do a search for the heaters thread. Good info there. Apparently non-AC blowers up to 87 pickups bolt in. Also someone used a second gen fiero blower with some success.
