This is a fairly old thread but if you're not too set on original,then you mmight look at Chevy's also.The front sheetmetal and tailgate can be swapped.LWB fleets can have a stepper bed installed.Just depends on how much work youwant to do and how important original is to you.

I´ve been thinking about doing this, BUT the truck might end up in Europe, Germany to be more exact and there, to get a historic registration everything needs to be original.. you change anything and it won´t qualify as a historic truck... That´s why I´d love to find the exact one I want.. I know that is going to be hard....

K20Chevy - I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for, but I found it while crusing Craigslist over the weekend... http://reno.craigslist.org/cto/3527911244.html. It's a Chevy C10, but is restored and has the spare tire mount. Not sure about the tranny. Good luck!

I'll keep an eye out for you but I can't tell you if/when I've ever seen a 67-72 K2500 GMC. One option would be to use http://www.autotempest.com/
You can have it run nationwide searches of craigslist.com and ebay and other auto trader websites.

I apreaciate it, thanks!!! I know the K2500 GMC is already hard to find, then add the long bed stepside and there are hardly any and with manual and the spare tire mount, I have only seen one on here somewhere!! Maybe there is only that one!

that is a really nice truck and it even has the spare tire mount! Too bad it is not a 3/4 ton 4WD.

I think I mentioned that before, I would feel really bad taking the body off a truck like this and swapping chassis and make the numbers not match anymore.

But that is exactly the body style I´m after! Really nice! Thanks for shareing that!
