Where can i find shaved firewall kits - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I want to shave my firewalal on my 77 c10 short bed but maybe someone knows of a place where they sell the kits all ready jus to get welded on

I believe a couple forum vendors have them. Not sure but I'm thinking porterbuilt?

I've never seen a kit. What I did was cut out the tunnel and ground everything off. I then welded up all of the seams and made a new tunnel. I made a template and transposed it onto wood and cut it out with a jig saw. After that I screwed a piece of sheetmetal to the wood and used my plasma cutter to create the flat piece. Weld and grind

Yeah porterbuilt has a ac box shave kit if you want the full firewall shaved your kinda on your own.

Scotts Hot Rods makes one. They don't show or list the 73-87 on their firewall page but they do or at least did make one.
