Frame swap question

Thinking about putting a 67 to 72 body on a 1985 frame will this work? What are the differences and what problems might I encounter?

Re: Frame swap question

From what I've heard you will need a body lift to fit the later frame. It has been done with 4x4 trucks.

Re: Frame swap question

I am not sure, but I think the frame lengths may be different. Seems like I saw it in a previous post.

Definitely will need a lift on the body to make up for the way the newer frames are shaped.

Re: Frame swap question

The frame is different in many ways IIRC. So you will need to build new body mounts and deal with the wheelbase difference as a start 117/131.5 vs the 67-72 115/127/133. Just do a site search there are a lot of threads on this question.
