Speedo cable removal / annoying noise

Something in my dash makes makes a very annoying sound at a certain mph and I going to start with the cable.

Is it necessary for me to remove the dash? I can get my hand up behind the dash, and it feels like there is a metal clip or something holding in place.

Just wondering if there is more to removing it than just reaching behind the dash.

Push the clip toward you and tug the cable and it will slide right out. No dash removal needed.

Well I completely removed the cable from the truck and I still heard the noise behind the dash! What else back the could possibly make a vibrating / buzzing noise?

It's the cable itself seizing on the inside.....need a new cable. At least that's what happened with mine.

That's what I thought, I completely removed the cable, and the noise is still there!

Oops sorry. Guess I didn't read that last post close enough. That's crap...can't think of what it could be off the top of my head. Speedo cable was the only thing I could think of. Hope you figure it out.
