Finally got my dream truck!!!

Ok, I've been lurking around for the last 2yrs (since I sold project N2Deep). The economy, family & other expensive hobbies (guns) have taken their toll on my truck addiction. Well 4 days ago my dream truck popped up on ebay & I just went and signed the paper work today. I've been around for a few years & have bought & sold too many of these trucks. Well I've now got my 2 favorite trucks: 67 CST SWB & 72 Super Cheyenne SWB 4x4! (now I just need to find a buyer for my 69 Camaro )

Re: Finally got my dream truck!!!

Wow Joe,if that's a true SWB K/10 Black on Black bucket seat Cheyenne Super you found a true gem and now have one of each 2wd & 4wd SWB top-o-the-line from 1st to last!! Even if it is an assembled truck,it looks like they did it right!

EDIT!!
I'm concerned about this truck. I missed this thread until someone just pointed this out:

Re: Finally got my dream truck!!!

I was watching that one on flea bay, congrats. If you don't mind sharing, what did you end up giving for it. Curious as to what my 71 super is worth. Not that I would ever consider selling it.

Re: Finally got my dream truck!!!

Thanks guys! I purchased the truck knowing that it may not be an original Super, but I don't even care. I didn't pay his asking price (he asked me not to disclose what I paid). This truck is so clean I can't believe it as it has or has been assembled with everything I would do to one. Long story short I've had 2 K10 SWB's & they weren't exactly what I wanted & this one is. I had a 71 GMC w/o any options but ran great (sold to guy back east). I had a verified 72 Super but it was green & white & needed to be completely retored (sold to forum member). I was planning on finding a longbed and cutting it down to make my "copy". And dealing with all these loser body shops etc...I know I would have taked forever & spent way more than I spent on this truck.

So thanks guys & now that I'm going to be driving my white 67 daily I should be more active on this forum.

And BTW- I just have to say my wife is awsome. I have her in a private ($$$) & accelerated nursing school so money has been tight. Well, I told her this was "really" my dream truck & wished I could get it. She told me "why don't you trade in my car (paid of Benz) for it & I'll get another car in 2 yrs when I graduate"! I couldn't believe it, she always hates when I've bought all my "dream cars/trucks).

Some pics of my old trucks:

Re: Finally got my dream truck!!!

I was looking at the original paperwork for the guy that restored/built the truck & it says he included the factory compass, NOS tissue holder & 8 track player when he sold it 9yrs ago. Well, those all disappeared! Anyways, I just have to finalize a few things and it will be in my garage!

Good for you. The only people that care are people on message boards. In the real world rust free sheet metal and a good looking truck are all that matters.

Hey Morris,

Beautiful truck and more important, just what you wanted. I remember both of your previous trucks as well.
