Re: mustang 2 coil springs

If your using a Mustang II you maybe want to run V6 coil springs, if you want to cut one coil off it will drop it about 2 inches. I am using V8 springs with one coil cut with drop spindles and it sits pretty low but my truck is a 1956 Chevy and weighs a little more than a 50. If your running 4cyl springs maybe too light for your application. Also run it for a while before cutting the springs it will settle an inch or so, the after being on the road cut coil spring with a cut off wheel not a torch. The heat from torch causes the spring to lose tensile strentgh and it will start to sag.

Re: mustang 2 coil springs

why do you need smaller springs?
a little more detail will help us help you

the short answer is yes, you can put a screen door spring in there if you want
it won't hold your truck, but yes you can do it if you want
