3:73's and speedo help

What's everyone doing when the go 3:73's with a Turbo 350 trans?

Since you didn't give a tire size you get to work the problem.

Here are the factory charts for a 71 TH350 V-8 application with 3.73 tires.
You will need to determine which of the these tire sizes is closest to your current tires size.

Then you can try and match up drive and driven gears to your existing parts. The tooth counts alone should help you find what you are looking for. ID what you have first. Replace the adapter seal too.

Remember the drive gear is on the trans. output shaft and behind the output shaft yoke seal inside the tailhousing. This is not a exactly a backyard replacement.

The driven gear rides in the adapter and engages both the drive gear and the speedo cable. This is an easy change within limits.

Finally here is a site that should help with parts if the dealer or local trans shops can't.
