New Truck / New member from Oregon

Just wanted to say hello. Been checking out this site for about a month, ever since I picked up my 1970 C/20. She is orange, and beautiful. I'm sure I'll have a million questions. I'm planning on swapping out the 10 bolt and Dana 44 in 4.56 for something a little easier to drive. Otherwise, we are still in our honeymoon period. She brings back memories of riding around on the ice in my dad's '71. Thanks in advance for your patience as I try to figure her out.

Re: New Truck / New member from Oregon

Welcome, She does look nice already. Before I changed out the ring and pinion make sure your not in the market for an overdrive transmission. (This is of course assuming It hasn't already been updated to an overdrive.) I say this because it is a real common, easy and a relatively cheap upgrade, almost a requirement in my book. Adding drivability, economy and performance. And if it is done, your 4.56s might not be such a negative to you. But of course I don't know whole your situation.

Welcome to the club! Very nice truck. There are lot's of us around the Portland/Vancouver area that get together about once a month. Be sure to stop by. BTW, Chevy Metal in Vancouver is a great resource for us. Rick (owner) is a great guy. He takes good care of us.
