Joplin, MO area members?

Sorry if this is a little off topic, I figured I'd get more views in the main forum. I'm looking for a Joplin area member who wouldn't mind going to look at a truck for me. If you'd like to take me up on that please PM or call/me at 479.295.1190.

Thanks!

Re: Joplin, MO area members?

Its that or put the truck away and mow the lawn. You know how I feel about yardwork.

Blake (417 motorsports) thinks my fuel pump might be the prob w my truck.

Re: Joplin, MO area members?

Who lives across the road from another board member who will hit the road with 5 minutes notice? This guy!

Truck was a bust, but the trip was better than mowing or a nap by far.

Thanks for the offer 06R1man

Re: Joplin, MO area members?

Glad you got to check it out, I tried calling a couple times but it went straight to voicemail. If your passing and dont mind me askin, was the truck advertised? I'm starting to look for my next project. And decent body parts arent too common around here.

Re: Joplin, MO area members?

Thanks for trying, I think my battery cut out yesterday on the way back...sorry I missed your call. It was an '87 K5 blazer though. Solid body, ragged out interior and an older small block with all the TBI stuff that doesn't run right.

Let me know what you're looking for 67-72 wise and I'll keep my eyes open over here.

Re: Joplin, MO area members?

Bummer. Good excuse for a road trip, though. Ask me some time about running 11 hrs each way to look at an El Camino only to have my wife find the car I ended up buying 1/2 mile from the house while I was gone. Gah. I'll keep 'em peeled up here for ya. You want one injected?

Re: Joplin, MO area members?

It doesn't take much arm twisting to get me to hop in the truck with another car guy and turn the tires. Made for a nice end to a great weekend.
Fri dinner and carshow pre-party with a few board members. road closed downtown I pull up to people yelling my name and ushering my old junk straight to the front, host immediatly ask me where's my boat and if I'm bringing it to the show.
Sat pre show cruise and breakfast, then to a great first anual greaser rockabilly carshow where way too many people knew who I was, passed out beer left over from the wedding and made some new friends.
Sunday went back to show to see awards ceremony, pick up top 40 for me and a member, the engine I sold out of the boat won best engine. Get back home hop on the board to avoid yardwork and leevon to the rescue, a roadtrip with trucks and good company!

If it wasn't for this website my weekend wouldn't have been the same. Thank you 67-72.
