Anybody have any idea why my Ford tailgate thread closed?

Any explanation? Moderators?

I had one closed because I was advertising for a friend & did not actually have posession of the item. At first I was a little miffed. After thinking about it I realized that my friend could join the board & advertise. And even though I trust my friend, you become responsible if things do not go right and cause issue for other board members.

I had a friend.
I loaned him ten
I haven't seen my friend since then.
Another friend I loaned him five.
I doubt if he is still alive.
For one more friend
I signed a note.
He disappeared and got my goat.
I'm now convinced that in the end,
A feller can't trust his own best friend.

Because this is the 67-72 Chevy Truck parts board. If you want to list a ford tailgate for sale, here is the appropriate spot: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/c...dex.php?cat=16

Thank you.

I thought that our era of truck enthusiasts may have friends that would have need of this. Did not mean to upset any bodies apple cart.

I would put that on Ebag for $500 if it was mine.

Re: Anybody have any idea why my Ford tailgate thread closed?

I don't think anyone's feeling got hurt. It's just plain simple x2.
1-We don't sell anything in this message board but 67-72 GM Truck parts...not '73-later,not '66-earlier,not Chevelle/Lemans/Skylark/Cutlass,and definitely not other brands. In fact,a for sale message board is provided for all things not GM Truck related.
2- If registered members can't sell things on this website, then certainly those who have not even registered should not be. We have members who have been here for years, who have contributed greatly, who I'm sure we can trust, but if they haven't subscribed they can't post a for sale thread. I've been there myself and it sure didn't seem fair to me if someone posted for a friend we don't know from Adam.
#-I guess #3 would be this isn't the place to post such threads as this. There's a message board titled "Site Feedback" provided for such topics. When you post here you come off as someone who's apple cart has been upset

If it could have been moved don't you think I would have done that?? The misc for sale area uses a different software format and threads cannot be moved there. If you have any other concerns, PM a staff member. This thread is now being closed because the question was answered above. Time to move on.
