56 chevy wheels
Hey guys can you please help me out asap. I need new wheels on my 56 chevy pickup. I found some torq thruster type wheels. They are 20's with a "0" offset. Will those work with a lowered straight axle. Please help thanks guys

20's on a straight axle?
Well, you certainly CAN do it if you want, but 20's typically mean low profile sidewalls. Low profile side wall radial tires and the harsh ride of the straight axle will rattle our teeth. BTW, I paid $160 (an admittedly great price) off Craigslist for a set of 15x7 Torq Thrust wannabe's and another $60 (another good price) for near new 235/75 takeoffs from an F150. |

Will 15's work on a lowered axle my scrub line is really low already. Thats why I was looking at 20's

I would imagine that 15's would be fine. You could remove one front tire then jack that side of the truck down to simulate a flat. Check your scrub, boom, on your way.

Its hard to pass up a deal on 20 inch torq thruster for $550. Isnt that a good deal. The backspacing is 4 1/2 the offset is "0"

Its your truck bro, build it like YOU want to. I believe those wheels are 5 lug, if your truck is setup for 5 lug go for it!

I understand. Is there a downside to running 20's. I like the chrome smoothies as wheel but those things get expensive when you start going bigger. Im running a 3inch dropped axle and 3 inch lower springs. What would be your guys suggestions. Thanks for the help so far guys
