Help! Steering wheel is making a grinding noise.

I recently purchased a Grant steering wheel and installed it into my 1970 c10. After the install a grinding noise makes sound every time I turn the wheel. It is very loud and starting to get annoying. Steering works just fine but the noise is terrible. Any suggestions to what may be the problem? Thanks.

Re: Help! Steering wheel is making a grinding noise.

Over torquing the wheel can stress the bearings and cause the grinding noise. It could also be that the bearings are just worn and need to be replaced.
