Re: Any ideas? Siding - chrome/aluminum/ss - NOT ROCKER PATCH PANELS - siding panel
Hello, new to this forum and need some info.
Trying to get around the site. My questions are this On, I'm in the process of purchasing a 1972 GMC Stepside with a running 396, with turbo 400 Tranny. It has PS and PB. It is pretty clean. The truck originally had a Six banger but was replaced with 396. Has leaf springs as well has been lowered and floor has diamond plated bed.Interior is fairly clean with new reupholstered bench seat. I have been sent many pictures regarding some small rust bubbles by bottom door panels and small amount of rust by the rocker panel where the chrome step plate to carpet is located. The paint looks original GMC orange and has 2 3 small faded spots on the hood and fender. The truck was a Phoenix and now a cal truck. With that I have to travel about 300 miles to go and look at it. I'm looking at $5,000.00 for the truck. Are these trucks worth the purchase, and how bad are small bubble through the paint> I take care of my own vehicles and old time mechanic, but not body work. Some help here please. Seabee |
