Vin number help

I just picked up a 53 burb (pics to come once I locate my camera cable). It is titled as a 53. The more I look at it it looks like a 47-50. Where should the vin number be located on these? I was thinking the passenger side door frame of the cab.

Thanks
Marc

Re: Vin number help

VIN plate was on driver side door jam front side. '47-'50 had solid windows and turn down door handles. '51 was first year of wing windows and last year of turn down handles. A '53 should have wing windows and push button door handles. It also would have a "3100" as the side hood emblem. No Chevrolet emblem.
If it's a '53, the VIN should start "H53"
Hope this helps. Look forward to pictures..

Yes very solid.

The plans are to be low on bags. Nice interior and drive train and maybe patina our fauxtina. Possible a late model ls engine. I have a three rows of seats which I plan to use. Overall goal is to Create a comfortable family hauler that we can drive and park anywhere. Not a finished show truck like my 48.
