Laying frame or cross member and heater box question.
Those of you that are laying frame or cross member did you keep the heater box? I plan to lay frame on a 29" tire and want to keep my heater. How can this be done? My tire is close to the heater box now and I'm not all the way down yet?

You can move the blower motor up. I have seen people here do it. I dont know about the ac box though.

If you are planning on new control arms, you can go with the Porterbuilt and get the 1" forward. This will give you a little more clearance for the heater box and also center up the wheel in the wheel well when aired out.

If you want to lay frame and get more firewall/heaterbox clearance you can,
Install a Dropmember + Forward arms Z the frame and move the front wheels forward at the same time. The Z is mostly all labor and not a lot of $ BUT you need fab skills (or a friend or shop) The Drombember and arms you need a LOT of $$$ and not so much skills

A Dropmember, new arms and doing a Z is out. Is there any way I can narrow the heater box?

You can section the heater box, but that means the squirrel cage on the fan motor will have to be cut down too.

What about going to a vintage air or summit heater? The summit one should fit under the dash and Jang prohibitively expensive.
