Re: motor questions

Heres my toughts...

I currently have an rb20det out of a 91 Nissan skyline its on a full stand alone engine management which means I can swap vehicles easily.

Here come the problems with this swap
need electric fuel pump (easy fix)
motor mounts( just need to make some)
new drive shaft(easy enough)

the main part factory rb20 tranmissions aren't the best but heres the gravy

Ive got a proto type bellhousing to mate my motor to the tko series transmission which can handle more power and weight than my factory transmission and runs off the pressure plate and clutch disc of the mustang or Camaro at that point

I know this is a long shot and basically it would be different and useless to tow with but I want something different and ive got 90% of that I need to get it done. I just need a truck and than to swap everything over honestly

the truck will go full air ride once done and ill cut weight where I can to bring the total weight of the vehicle down

let me know what you guys think

Re: motor questions

Love the sound of an rb20. Do this and run a nasty turbo and 3" straight pipe

Re: motor questions

I know it's not as far out of the box as some of you are thinking, but it's pretty high on the neat scale. There's a couple of youtube vids showing guys that used 453T Detroits

Albeit not a pickup, you've all seen the 24V Cummins Monte right?

Re: motor questions

There is a guy in Canada on here who has a Lexus 4.0l V8 mated to a T56 in his C10. There is another guy in New Zealand with a Toyota diesel in a C10.
