choke is NOT necessary. makes for easier starts but not needed. I was a lazy bastard and left my choke disconnected. pump the pedal twice and fire.

its been getting cooler here at night so i will probably hook up the choke this weekend or next.

I can't say thank you enough fellas you have been so helpful the truck is alive and it's nasty power, I scared myself a little but it's up and running just have to fine tune it now!!

Glad to hear it's good. I'ma eventually gonna do intake and holley 600 but i gotta get new driveshafts first. Will use this as a refrence

Cool man glad you'll be able to use it. I will say a few things though on you to get list is new thermostat and housing, shorter throttle cable also I would say get a throttle cable bracket and double and triple check your hose clamps and and all bolts. Other than just be patient and take your time make sure your gaskets are sealed on both sides for everything and use what's called rtv silicone gasket sealant it's blue other than what's listed I didn't buy much of anything. Hope it helps out more man, it was frustrating at times but now that it's running totally worth it!
