My Blazer in the middle of the lake! (pics)

After seeing CPNE's pics of the snow, I dug out pics of an ice fishing outing I was on a number of years back. We were out about 2 miles from shore and stayed in the shack for a week. Good times! Talking big and acting smart, but not a lot of fishing!!

My Blazer in the middle of the lake! (pics)

I'm glad to see the lake was frozen. By the title of the post I was afraid it would be at the bottom of the lake when I opened it.

That's what I thought too! I still get the creeps when people walk and drive out on a frozen lake. Just too hard for me to imagine here in the mild NW.

Here I was hoping for a pic of a blazer fording a lake... most of the time such rigs have the snorkels and the swimming kits... gotta prep the interior for that one!

WoW!
I'm glad to see that it's on the surface.
I was expecting to see the roof sticking up out of the water
I couldnt drive my rig out on the ice. I wouldnt trust it.
Of course, I didn't grow up where it gets cold enough for that sort of thing
I guess if I grew up around it I would trust it.

That was such a shock to see all those rigs in the water!! Glad you saved that pic Greg. We had a warm winter that year. Was that in Brainard or Pequat Lakes? I can't remember.

It looks like they had already parked there when they fell through. Was the ice too thin and just slowly cracked or did they leave them on the lake too long? How'd they end up getting them out? That doesn't look like a fun day...

Another shot of my handiwork! Right now this truck is in a bunch of pieces. The frame was blasted and powder coated, got new SST brake lines to put in, both axles have been rebuilt, and the 4 spd tranny and 205 have a fresh coat of orange paint. The 350 is up for a rebuild next. Don't have any pics of that yet.
