Blower motor ?
I am trying to trouble shoot my blower motor.
What should the switch positions be from top to bottom? Mine only works in the position one up from the bottom. I can hear the relay click. What can it be? The resistor in the box is nice a shiny.

from top to bottom should be
off low speed high speed The very bottom position has never worked on mine, One of your resistor coils up inside the air duct might be bad causing you to have low speed only. There are 2 coils in the duct one for high speed and one for low speed. |

I just repaired a truck with simeler problems.
From the top - Off/Low/Medium/High. The problem that I had was the fan relay. I could here it click, but it wouldn't go into high. I could get low and medium though. I replaced the relay and the problem was solved. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

I found my problem, the low was working but I couldn't hear it, finally looked at it. The high only works with ignition "ON" not in "ACC". So now I need a lever and some hoses and I can defrost my windows.

Check the high-speed fan relay ground wire very closely. It is behind the glove box between the heater a/c box and the cowl. It has a ground wire with a short black wire that connects to the firewall via a mounting stud for the heater box. Mine was broke due to there was not much length on it and it had broken. The symptoms were: POS 1 Low speed = very low you have to listen very close POS 2 Medium= seems normal POS 3 High= very slow but turning There is also another ground in the engine compartment that also works along with this one and it is right off of the fan. The ground wires for the high-speed relay are trying to ground through the attachment bolts of the heater shroud, which is non-metallic.
