This was a rect port solid roller 427, it broke a valve spring
See picture above, So I built a budget 468 for it (red motor) a guy I met fell in love with it so I sold it to him, now it has a 462 with aluminum heads..it is literaly just a bunch of stuff I had laying around and realized I could build me a little motor..kinda mis-matched, cam to small heads too big, not enough compression.
I am building a 505cid motor right now for it, only lacking a set of quality BBC heads ( I hope to buy income tax). It should be around 7-800 HP on alky.
I will post some more current pictures tonight maybe.

Here is the first drive of it since I owned it with 427..

LMAO...I am a collector, trader, swapper, wheeler dealer and I spend money I don't have usually to collect hot rod parts. I also have a good friend that is in the salvage buisness that is a ford nut so all the Chevy goodies I have dibs on.

BTW the heads are procomp 320s..spent toooo much on the short block to put them on it, just want to make sure I putting the best stuff I can in this motor.

this is whats going on top

Re: been a member for a bit just never updated on my ol 69

very nice. I grew up on ford only ranch so I had a hell of time finding parts. traded my 289 out of my faux mustang(capri) for my first 350 for my truck didn't rebuild it just threw it in and went like hell and threw 5 rods and trashed both heads. then I robbed a 307 out of a old 69 farm truck school shop rebuilt it and It spun a main 20-30 miles later and now I'm on the last sbc on the ranch a 305 a relative abandoned. it was professionally built, ported 202 camel hump heads I don't remember what the piston/cam and stuff we used I know it was all good high compression stuff. it runs like hell and sounds nasty but unfortunately still a 305.

thankfully all small blocks look the same so I usually tell them it's a stroker motor and they all walk away :-)

LOL, exactly the response I like. I pull up to gas stations (alot 10 gln cell) and with 3 1/2" pipes and 6in race mufflers + no hood I always get ppl staring and asking me questions
Just the way I like it

dam that's gotta be a lot of stops at the gas station I'm running a 10 gal tank and it's ridiculous. after watching your video if I was driving it I wouldn't make it to the next gas station. definitely a bad ass truck

Re: been a member for a bit just never updated on my ol 69

found some more pictures of my junk..love the memories myself..
Had a guy stop by my brothers and offered him $3000 cash for it while it was setting this way, I turned it down and was glad I did, love my junk

modified trans tunnel, the way it is today..

6th pass at track, 8.12 1/8th mile with 427, broke valve spring on this pass, it was only tuned with timing, carbs out of the box 600s, trans was stock and shifting itself @ 5500, secondarys coming in on carbs at about the 60ft mark (you can hear)

If you plan on running alky, that 10 gal cell will only be good for one pass. LOL
