I don't off hand, I mixed a color from a valve cover so it may not be 100% correct.

Truck V-8 283 is gray, 327 is green (ish)... I used new ford grey ceramic paint from Pepboys and Napa... Looks pretty close....

Grey. My 64 had the original 283 in it, untouched original. Grey block/grey intake/grey valve covers.....pretty much all over. Looks a heckofa lot better than punkin motor color. And, mosta the greese and dirt blends right in so less cleanin to do than punkin motor color! HA! Paint it grey, ye'll be happy and have more time to drink beer since yer not cleanin it.

I wish my old truck woulda been painted dirt color....sorta light sand with some red clay...woulda saved me a buncha bucks on water and soap! I coulda been smokein better cigars with my beer.

My engine is "suposably" the stock color but its a blue grey??

I wasn't sure what to call it. It was not a light....more like it had a bit of black in it....reminded me of the medium to dark battleship grey rubber that used to be on runningboards on the 30s cars.

Wow looks great thank you very much for pics. Looks like the same color as mine. I guess after 50 years my paint just faded.

Do you have a paint code or did you guesstimate? I don't know if it is my computer, but it looks like it might have a blue tint to it. Script valve covers are correct for 64 c10? I am rebuilding a 66 Vette 300hp 327 but want to make the engine compartment look as close to stock as possible. I am having trouble finding pictures of correct engine compartments.

I took the color off of a stock valve cover but it might have faded over time. I have seen two different shades of grey , one like this and a darker grey. I have had valve covers with both.
