1966 SWB Stepside from Austin, TX - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Recently bought a 1966 SWB Stepside and have been restoring (restomod) it for a few months now. So far:

Total rewire with an American Autowire Harness
Restored Gauge Cluster by following theastronaut's thread
Restored original bench seat (springs, upholstery)
Re-dyed the cab carpet.
New rear view mirror.
New sun visors.
Changed ignition switch, door locks, and glove box lock to same key.
Upgraded the alternator.

Plenty more to do. Haven't started a build thread yet but that's next.

Thanks fellas. Much appreciated. This is my first restore. My pop had a '66 when I was a kid in South Texas and, after looking around for a while, I settled on this one. My automotive knowledge before now was the usual maintenance stuff so I'm looking forward to learning.
