What's The Coolest Factory Option Your Truck Has?

I've always liked my manual throttle.

Big block, Air ,Tilt, speed warning, and Buddy Buckets. I guess and the tac/vac, Am/fm, and wood bed. It should be cute.Oh and it is a 68 GMC. That is just one. The others have nice stuff too they are both 70 chevy's bucket tilts and tac and tac/vac dashes. I have been gathering parts a few years.

Re: What's The Coolest Factory Option Your Truck Has?

my favorite is the highlander c package of options - includes the tilt, a/c, and that cool plaid...

Other than that, for some reason I'm partial to NL2 Aux Tanks... I have no idea why.

Smile Re: What's The Coolest Factory Option Your Truck Has?

.....gotta' have my tilt wheel....couldn't live without that!!!
The a/c is a nice option too but the tilt gets used on every trip...sort of like power steering or brakes. The tach and vacuum are neat 'adders' as well I suppose.
The option I would love to have (that I don't) would be the big block for the extra torque and power but maybe I'll get some of that power back when I redo the 350 in the next couple of years.

Cool Re: What's The Coolest Factory Option Your Truck Has?

Factory options for me it'd have to be the tach throttle and no power steering and no tilt back when trucks were actually trucks coolest factory option that wasn't on our trucks but yet the 1970 GTO is the vacuum operated exhaust or the humbler option I am installing on of these on my C/10 when she's complete coolest factory body mod would be the bedside step for the fleetside models

Re: What's The Coolest Factory Option Your Truck Has?

It's not really an option, more of an oddity, but my 1969 C10 lwb 2wd originally 307 with a 3 on the tree has a factory high hump cab.

Passenger seat. All the panels I have ever seen have one but they are an option. There may only be HD springs and such otherwise but the Passenger seat is listed.

. . . .

I think the factory installed side tool and storage boxes are " cool ".

Almost everyone who sees mine comments on it when I take it to shows.

My build sheet lists Z62 custom comfort package. I'm guessing that includes my original '69 door panels with these cool Chevy logos at the top center

Re: What's The Coolest Factory Option Your Truck Has?

Would it be safe to say the entire truck is made in the USA?
If the steel was made in USA and all the plastic pieces, everything... Well I think that's pretty special. Not an option but really cool.

I would like an extra gas tank in the bed behind the cab. I've seen them an I think it would come in handy.
Another option is the maroon interior...I didn't like it at first but it's growing on me...

Manual throttle, mine also has a tach sourced from another truck if that counts.

Re: What's The Coolest Factory Option Your Truck Has?

Lets see. Dome light or ammeter/oil gauge.
I didn't get too many options in the truck I ended up with. I would however like a toolbox in the bed side. The tow hooks would be functional for me but only when the plow is off. Tilt would be cool.
I put in my own AC (factory) and cruise control (after market).
I also got rid of my jam-o-matic aka 3-speed manual transmission and replaced it with a th350.
