Got my truck a couple years ago from my GF's dad. He owned it since 73 and seems to have kept it very stock. he added power steering, extra tanks (I've got 4, 100 gal), and 1 ton suspension (leafs, coil over shocks). Came with factory locked 4.56:1 14 bolt and d60. and I'm damn sure he said NP205.

I'm wondering what "the good stuff" means to you guys.

and if there's easy ways of identifying parts without busting out degreaser

Thanks, I know it's a pretty broad spectrum question, but I need to get some learning from somewhere,

Soooo, what year is this thing? If he owned this since '73, the running gear is not "stock"

Accidentally deleted that part, its a 70 C20 ( yeah, before they came out with K for 4x4)

Pictures if you want help.... 14 bolt didn't come out until '73 and the 60 wasn't in the front of a GM truck until '77.

It's still a K20.... it just doesn't have K fender badges.

Sounds like it's not as stock as you might think. Pics would definitely help.
