Trying to identify an engine
My truck originally had a 6 cyl in it and the previous owner swapped to a 350. Is there a way I can tell what it came out of? Vin tag maybe? If so where would it be located?
Thanks!

Re: Trying to identify an engine
There's numbers on the block behind the drivers cylinder head. Pull those and do a Google search.

Re: Trying to identify an engine
There will numbers and letters (Suffix code) stamped on a pad in front of the passenger cylinder head.
