67 C-20 Stainless Steel Brake Lines
Greetings ; I'm looking for a recomendation on where to purchase a complete S.S. pre-bent brake line kit for my truck.
I have a 67 C-20 longbed with coils springs. The kits in LMC are only for 1/2 tons. Ecklers/Brothers do not show a complete kit and they say 1/2 or 3/4 ton? I'm looking for someone's recomendation who has purchased a set for thier C-20 that had no fitment issues. I would purchase a roll and make my own , but I would also need to purchase a hydrulic flaring tool. Thank in advance for your help.... D----- |

Re: 67 C-20 Stainless Steel Brake Lines
I got the lines for my 69 3/4 ton from The Right Stuff at the link below.. Great people to work with. One was bent wrong, and they made one to match the one I'd removed at no charge.

Unless you have your heart set on SS I would try this stuff... I used the newer NICOPP brake lines.(nickel+Copper+Iron) on one of my projects. Really easy to bend and they will not rust. CNC 325 is 3/16" and CNC 425 is 1/4". I bought mine from this guy: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CNC-325-3-16...f2369a&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/CNC425-1-4-C...624aa8&vxp=mtr Best price I could find at the time. You can actually coil it around a 1" wooden dowel by hand without kinking it. It also flares easy with a regular double flaring tool and there are coated flare nuts available. Some of the auto parts stores carry it but it is quite a bit more $. LockDoc

Re: 67 C-20 Stainless Steel Brake Lines
Thanks for your help... I have not pulled the trigger on the lines yet - I just got stuck trying to find the rear wheel bearings!
Need 2 of each - NDH #D11786 & NDH #B11630 Seems they quit making these long ago and I'm not having any luck... Thanks again , Dave |
