That one sure has all the right parts for the price. Dana 60, 14 bolt, SM465, NP205 and fuel injected big block.

I'm not a fan of the narrow cab and chassis rearend under the wide bed though. I bet it looks pretty funny in the flesh.

Even at auctions they are getting few and far between. 87 K30 dually pickup with versalift brought $1314 but needed work. The 88 V30 brought $7790. and it had LOW miles.

Well I emailed the guy in Milwakee about that one, but haven't heard anything it's been 2 days and now the listing is gone. I PM'd Dooley about his and haven't heard anything. That one in LA looks weird, might be a converted cab and chassis. That one in Detroit I don't really care for that bed. I know it could be changed, but right now I think I want one I can just jump in and drive. Thanks for all the help guys. Oh and TX firefighter nice write up on your dually, that's exactly what I want to do if I find one I can live with.

Be patient, they are out there. The last two K30's I have acquired are different stories. The C&C a friend of mine bought and drove through town. The same day I told him I wanted to buy it. So I ended up with it. The second one (pickup) took me awhile to find one. I drove three 1/2 hours from Illinois to Ohio to get.

They are getting harder to find in dually formation. I still look quite a bit for dually K30's but see more SRW's than anything. If I come across anymore I will list them on this thread. Mine needs more work than I want to put into it but the chances of tracking down another one near me is slim so I will keep it for now. Of coarse if anyone wanted to give me big money for it then I might let it go but for now it is in the garage getting fixed little by little.

How hard is it to convert a 2wd to 4wd or a single wheel to dually? Any idea of cost? I don't want to do this because I think I can find a factory one cheaper, but you never know.

4wd isnt hard but you need all the parts from another junked truck to do it basically.

Well I just sent him an email. Yeah if you are headed that way and have some time would you PLEASE check it over for me? And take some pictures? I asked him for some more pictures as well, but more is nice when the truck is a couple hundred miles away. If I head out to check it out in person maybe we can meet and I'll buy you dinner/lunch depending on time of day.

Not bad. How are far are you from there? Is that a decent price for that truck in your area?

I'm about an 3 hours from there. Personally I think it's a fair price just based off of what I've seen decent condition 1/2 and 3/4 ton 4x4's sell for in this area. I will admit I haven't really seen many trucks like that to know for sure though. I know a 2wd CC dually in that shape would likely be in the 3-4k range so considering how rare it would be to find one in that shape in this area I would say it's not too unreasonable a price. It does say OBO though so you could possibly get him to come down some. I think as we near tax season he'll have an easier time getting close to his asking price though.
