so with the front in place the rear of the truck need to come down made a temporary pr of perches out of 2x3 tubing so I could flip the rear



and now with it on the ground the fender lip is 28"off the ground and should be alittle lower once the motor and rest of the front clip back on and the bacl will also drop abit once the bed of one. I can all but see over the top of the roof and im 5'7

Very interesting modifications on the front end.
What car did you get that IFS from?

it came for like an 05 crown vic police car. once I trim the rails down im going to put the front section of the original frame in place.

managed to get alittle work done today on the frame. first I worked on the back section of the new rails to blend to the stock frame





then started to work in the original front section to the new rails. still need to do some more trimming to get in place but it gives ya an idea of what im working for. plus I need to get crush tubes in place before I weld up the front section of the frame.

time for an update. as far as the frame its off to the side for the moment as I needed a somewhat decent cab set in place correctly so I can set fenders rad support and such to get the front section of the original chassis in place. so did manage to find a cab. RUST FREE!!!!! not in Pa. so of I need to rebuild the cab from the bottom up. here is where im at as of now.

did some trimming and made a couple of panels to help me keep is squared up then made an 1"square tube sub frame(more cross supports will be added ) and cut most of the floor out

been alittle with work and the new ride we got, but did manage to sneak in a few hours in here and there on the old dodge. got more done on the sub floor and made pockets for the front cab mounts.

the difference with TV shows and us, is that we don't have the money to buy stuff off the shelf. we have to go out and walk miles at the local yards, sell, barter good parts for usable parts for our projects. And at times sell them off to just keep the roof over our heads.

Love the work you are doing with the body. Reminds me of my Dodge. Had the same rust and everything as this truck was used to pull boats out of the salt water up in Maine. Took me years of work to get it solid, but my work was not clean like yours...mostly hack job with angle iron and old metal signs for sheet metal. Add to that lots of boat fiberglass and you have a functioning truck.
