Heater Blend Door
Anyone have a problem with the heater blend door not opening all the way. I took the cable off and it only moves about a half inch in either direction. Hoping I don't have to pull the heater box under the dash, but at this point I don't see anyway around it. Anyone ever remove one before? How many bolts or nuts do I have to remove? Any help is welcome and thank you in advance.

does your truck have a/c? I have heard that it's a bigger job if so, but I did this on my non-a/c '85, and it wasn't that bad. Most of the work was from the engine bay. I used a Haynes manual as my guide, and I had mine apart and back together in a couple hours.
In my case, the door seems to move maybe 40-45 degrees from stop to stop, so not real far, but I would say it is more than the 1/2" you mentioned.

There is no AC, so maybe it will be easy. I think I counted about 5 nuts in the engine compartment that may be holding it in.
