Who wants to play a game?? Fleet-Step Hybrid???

This is a Photoshop I just did of a truck I came across in Google images. I seen it and became inspired so I spent the last 3 hours in Photoshop tweaking it. Can you spot all the differences?

On a serious note has anyone ever seen a box done up like this? If not what should I call it cause I think I just decided what Im going to do to my short box... Undecided. Anyway, enjoy. Let me know what you think

headlights modified to 2 from 4
grille tilted and vertical bar removed
shaved bumper bolts
removed low exhaust
stepside modified like new dually trucks

should be about it, nice!

I also chopped the front of the roof just a tiny little bit. Just trying to make the truck a little more aggressive. Ive shared this picture in several places now and it seems the bed modifications are a huge hit and almost everyone dislikes the grille. I was aiming for something slightly resembling the Chevelles of this time.

Re: Who wants to play a game?? Fleet-Step Hybrid???

My first thought was something similar to one I did a few years ago by request of a member. I was adding the step side fenders to the fleetside bed to make a dually. I will have to go look for that pic.

I do like your interpretation though. As far as the other changes, I see...
Vertical bar removed from grille
Grille slanted forward
Bumper bolts removed
Single headlights
Exhaust removed under rockers

No lowering? Door handle shaving?

Door handles shaving etc is standard stuff. I wanted to work on something different. I just got home for the night so Im starting to work on that stuff now. Im not sure im going to keep the grille like this as it has been compared to a F*** many times now.

Very simple actually. All I did is extend the step side fenders fwd and kind of round them off. I like it so much I may be doing this to my short stepper. Ill do a Photoshop render first though.

Were you wanting to see what your truck would look like this way?

No sir.

But I am fascinated by the technical aspect of the steps used in Photo Shop, the actual How to's portion of what you did and how you did it so seamlessly.

Would love to know about the whole project actually.

Re: Who wants to play a game?? Fleet-Step Hybrid???

I really like the bed... but I think the section behind the rear wheel wiould need to be brought down level with the rest of the bed.

I think It would be too much work to slant the nose and used the GMC with converting to 2 headlights. I you forget the slant part of the GMC grill, you could retro fit a Bi-Xenon HID light into the smaller headlight opening of the 5 3//4" GMC outer light opening.

I also agree the truck should be a little lower and I prefer more sidewall on truck tires....

Re: Who wants to play a game?? Fleet-Step Hybrid???

Ok a little update. I revised the grill, shaved some stuff, and lowered it. I didn't feel like changing the wheels yet even though I agree I much prefer more sidewall on my trucks as well. Let me know what you think.

If your familiar with Photoshop its pretty simple. Most of the editing was with the clone stamp tool. To extend the bed I actually copied the door over to meet up with the rear fender. Then I used the history brush to put the rear cab line back in. Clone stamp was used to do all the shaving with an opacity set at between 40% and 60%. Polygonal lasso was used to select then copy the body and tires. After pasting the body back on a new layer and lowering it, the landscape was clone stamped down to disguise the previously higher roof line. I also used the lasso tool to select and copy the rear part of the fender behind the back tire to extend it down and meet up with the front of the bottom box line. The gap in between was filled in with the clone stamp. The roof chop, shaving, and grille were all done with the clone stamp. The angle on the grille was done by selecting with the polygonal lasso, free transforming and then selecting the skew option. The empty spaces left from shifting the grille were filled in with the clone stamp. I also used the burn tool to adjust some of the shading in the cab corners and reflection spots on the paint.

It was all pretty easy. The hardest part of all of it was the blending. Its all pretty straight fwd though. Sorry about the choppy write up. I never claimed to be a writer.
