Best Sound deadner

So what would you guys recommend? I am looking for something tha I can use on the floor, firewall, back of cab where tank was and inside of doors. Should I look into a spray or go with a roll on. Fatmat any good?? Dynamat is kinda pricy for me...

Re: Best Sound deadner

I used peel n stick for my cab floor, firewall, and part of the back wall. I added some squares and sections of dynamat in high-vibration area. Under the cab I sealed the floor with truck bed coating, which offers a slight bit of deadening.

I went with a multie media approach, and installed Second Skin Damplifier Pro inside the cab and doors, Luxury Liner under the carpet, and 3M Body Schutz under the cab.

Re: Best Sound deadner

I bought 1 gal of each of lizard skin sound control and ceramic insulation. also bought their sprayer kit all for around $200

full sound deadener and the insulater also deadens sound as well as keeping outside temps and engine temps to a minimum

Summit racing had the best prices.

Sadly this isn't true. You get what you THINK you pay for. My point being another member on here was forced out of the Sound Deadening business because he offered what was basically Dynamat, cheaper...and Dynamat wasn't happy. Theres nothing proprietary about Butyl-rubber based and asphalt-type sound deadeners.

Re: Best Sound deadner

I'm going to try a combination of products. Going to use lizard skin on the under side of the cab and fenders (and possibly hood) and then a variety of hard products on the interior floor. Was going to go with Sounddeadenershowdown, but after 3 emails asking him for a quote, after providing measurements and photos at his request I'll pass. The guy has always been informative and helpful, but at this point I'll just put together a kit myself.
