Re: Newbee.

She ran pretty well, I could hear the lifters a little, but the truck hasn't run for 2 years. Thanks for all of the comments. After I finish the fuel issue, is to find out why no lights work. I have no brake lights or headlights.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the nice truck find.

I'd recommend starting your own intro thread.

cheers

Re: Newbee.

Fuel problem resolved, drove the truck for the first time today. It was fun, had to stay in the alley due to no lights on the truck. Nothing electrical is working in the truck, going to start with the grounding wire in the fuse box. Unfortunately I am going out of town for a week tomorrow, so it will have to wait until next week.

Re: Newbee.

If ya don't have one a simple test light from an auto parts store is a quick and easy to trace wires and electrical problems. Good luck!

Re: Newbee.

Well, it's not much help but clear in the back of the engine but on top near the bell housing is a number, 350 would be 3956618,3970010,3932386. 307 would be 3914636,3914653,3932371,3932373,3956632,3970020. 327 would be 3814660,3914679,3932386,3955618,3782870,3789817,3792563,3794460,3814660,3830944,3852174,385817438581 80,3892657,3903352,3914660,3970041. The 3970010 350 is one of the better small block as it has 10% nickel content, and four bolt mains, very tough block
