Yeah lets see some pics!! A friend of mine is helping build mine in Houston right now, they just got the engine/trans set on the frame for a test fit this morning. Since you got it running now are you gunna take it out to Cars and Coffee next month? I'll probably be there with my CTS-V and would love to see another 5.3/6L80 C10.

1st Saturday of every month at Vintage Park. If you want to park in the main area with all the cars then you need to get there between 7-7:30, otherwise make sure you're there before 9 to see everything, people start leaving by 9-9:30. It's definitely a great thing to wake up and go to lots of different stuff. Let me know if you're planning on going and we can meet up.

Here's the facebook page for the event https://www.facebook.com/#!/coffeeandcars

Those of you with year-round car seasons need to do the "Wisconsin Experiment".

Lock yourself in the house, and stare at your project through the garage window for 3.5 months. If you haven't gone insane, congratulations.

Talking Re: Just got my 5.3 & 6L80 tuned!!

Congrats on the tune. I hope mine gets it's tune Friday and I can drive it to our 67-72 truck meet on Saturday in Greenville SC. We are going to be talking about plans for the Power Tour and cruise in the night before for the 67-72 trucks.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Just got my 5.3 & 6L80 tuned!!

Cars & Coffee is great! Tons of cars but not too many old ones though! I've been several times since I'm not too far away and usually take my old CJ7 and hang out with the Jeeps. The next one i may take my 1966 before I head out to the shop to replace a leaking tranny pan.

Haha I lived in Northern Indiana for 10+ years and dreaded winter time when I'd have to lock up my Trans Am for 5-6 months, that's one of the main reasons I moved to Texas.
